Youth Group Ideas

At the 2009 WELS Youth Rally, teens from the South Atlantic District had a brainstorming session in which they listed activities they want their youth groups to do in their congregations.  Below is their list of activities.

1.  Youth-led liturgy in worship
2.  Serve as a member of worship planning committee
3.  Youth choir and instrumentalists
4.  Fold bulletins
5.  Create and run Powerpoint for pastor's sermon
6.  Serve as an usher
7.  Serve as a greeter
8.  Serve as nursery attendant
9.  Plan and teach Sunday School
10. Plan and teach Vacation Bible School
10. Run a Christmas for Kids program
11. Present devotions at Youth Group Meetings
12. Youth Mission Trips (Youth In Service program offered by Kingdom Workers)

14. Scavenger Hunt
15. Theme Parties
16. Family Nights
17. Camping Trip
18. Pool Party/Cook-out
19. Open Mic Night
20. Ski Trip
21. Paintball
22. Mini Golf
23. Serve Easter breakfast
24. Babysit for a Parent's Night Out
25. Church property clean-up and improvement
26. Youth-Adult Competitions
